Scenes of
Meadow Gates Farm Sanctuary
Llamas at mid-day. Beautiful clear sky with very little sun.  BBRR!!
When water is unable to be delivered, we make due with trips to town to fill up - 100 gallons a day.
5 moose bedding down in the back pasture. We have had as many as 14 bedding down at a single time. A daily occurance in the winter as these big guys and gals venture down the mountains to forage on more accessible vegetation.

Snow, deep in the upper elevations, also makes walking difficult for the moose. They have discovered that roads and railroad tracks are nicely plowed so easier to move from area to area on. Usually with tragic results!
Free-feeding during February. Temperatures drop to 40 degrees below zero. Lots of hay keeps the fires burning in the animal's bellies.
